Today we can find the old Jewish Quarter in the historic place adjacent to the castle and the old city wall.
In Paço’s garden there’s a statue of Moses and others that show the kings of Portugal (among others). During the 16th, 17th, and 18th Centuries almost 400 Inquisitions processes were raised reporting Judaism against naturals or residents in Castelo Branco.
